Comic Book Giant DC to Launch Streaming Service

DC Entertainment, home of the iconic superheroes Batman and Superman, is teaming with Warner Bros. to launch a streaming service with Warner Bros. next year.

The DC-branded service will kick off with a new live-action show Titans and the upcoming third season of Warner’s popular animated series Young Justice: Outsiders.

Titans, a live-action adaptation of the comic book series launched in the early '60s, follows a group of young soon-to-be superheroes recruited from every corner of the DC Universe. Dick Grayson (a.k.a. Robin of Batman and Robin) emerges from the shadows to become the leader of a fearless band of new heroes, including Starfire, Raven and many others.

In Young Justice, teenage Super Heroes of the DC Universe come of age in an animated world of super-powers, Super-Villains and super secrets. In the upcoming third season, the team faces its greatest challenge yet as it takes on meta-human trafficking and the terrifying threat it creates for a society caught in the crossfire of a genetic arms race spanning the globe and the galaxy. The Series reached more than 25 million unique viewers in each of its two seasons on Cartoon Network (2011 to 2013).
