B&K Makes a Comeback

After a six-year hiatus, the venerable B&K audio brand will return this fall under new ownership.

B&K has been reimagined for 2016 with products for custom installation, home theater, and multi-room audio,” according to Barry Wosk, president of the reformed company. “The industry missed us. We’re happy to embrace the original company’s philosophies under new leadership.”

Wosk said the brand will stay true to its roots and deliver a “compelling blend of innovation, performance, and value.” Many of the products will be manufactured in the United States.

Seven models—amplifiers, integrated amplifiers, and soundbars—are planned for launch in November with a second round of models already in development and slated for release early next year.

The new company will sell B&K products globally for the first time and has already established distribution deals in 10 countries, including the United Kingdom, France, Germany, and Australia.

More information will be released at CEDIA Expo in Dallas next week. Watch for our report.
