BestBuy kicked off a “deals of the day” page” on Friday to lure holiday shoppers to its website with the promise of the “best deals of the season on items like 4K TVs, laptops, tablets, and more.”

Through December 20, the country’s largest electronics retail chain will promote a changing assortment of deals on the 20 Days of Doorbusters page at BestBuy.com. Deals last 24 hours, expiring each day at midnight.

Today’s mix includes a couple Sony deals of potential interest to Sound & Vision readers:

The UBP-X800 4K/Ultra HD Blu-ray player, one of our 2017 Top Picks, has been marked down to $150 — 50 percent off its $300 list price.

The second offer is smokin’ deal that knocks more than half off of Sony’s XB950N1 wireless noise-canceling headphones, dropping the price to $115 from $250.

Deals aren’t revealed until the day of the sale but if you scroll down you’ll see a calendar with a generic preview of what’s coming on specific days.

For example, a “big-screen smart 4K TV” will be featured on Wednesday, December 6 and again on Wednesday, December 20, the last day of the program. Which brand? Which Model? You won’t know until the day of. If virtual reality gear is on your holiday shopping list, you might want to circle back to the page on Saturday December 16 to see which VR headset is featured.
