AOC’s Curved-Screen Gaming Monitor Is HDR-Ready

AOC has introduced a 32-inch, curved-screen gaming monitor that supports high-dynamic range (HDR) content.

Aimed squarely at hard-core gaming enthusiasts, the HDR400-certifed AG322QC4 ($550) boasts a refresh rate of 144 Hz, a 4ms response time, and employs AMD FreeSync2 technology that synchronizes the display’s refresh rates to AMD-powered PCs to eliminate screen-tearing and minimize display stutter and input lag. The result is “fluid and responsive gameplay,” according to AOC.

The Quad High Definition (QHD) screen has a resolution of 2560 x 1440 and an 1800R curvature optimized for game play. It also incorporates AOC’s shadow control, which lets gamers adjust shadow levels in dark areas without affecting the entire screen, and “flicker-free” technology to reduce eye strain and fatigue during long gaming sessions. A “low blue light” mode also reduces “adverse short-wavelength blue light without sacrificing color quality.”
