Acoustic Geometry Offers Acoustic Treatment Kits at Best Buy Magnolia Locations

Acoustic Geometry, a Minnesota-based company specializing in affordable acoustic solutions, wants audiophiles and home theater enthusiasts to know that its acoustic treatment kits are available at Best Buy’s Magnolia Home Theater locations around the country.

The company offers “cost-effective groupings of acoustical products” called Home Room Packs, which are intended to improve the acoustics of media/listening rooms and home theaters by addressing common acoustical challenges.

Home Room Pack 1 and Home Room Pack 2, designed to reduce echo and reverberation, include six fabric-wrapped panels that absorb sound to improve the acoustics in smaller spaces, such as family rooms, dens, or libraries. Home Room Pack 2 adds four larger/thicker panels to help control sound in small home theaters and medium-size media rooms.

Home Room Packs 3, 4, and 5 offer a more sophisticated acoustical solution by combining “broadband sound absorption with industry-leading phase-coherent diffusion.” Intended for large theaters, listening rooms, and home studios, the kits include small curve diffusors that scatter sound to produce an “evenly-distributed sound-field.” Room Pack 5 takes provides additional acoustical control with the addition of medium-size curve diffusors. All kits include mounting hardware.

Acoustic Geometry also offers four Pro Room Packs (6, 8, 10, and 12) for dedicated listening rooms and home theaters, recording studios, and post-production rooms. Aimed at audio professionals and serious audiophiles, the kits are intended to provide “convenient and well-balanced room treatment solutions” through a combination of phase-coherent diffusion, “proven low-frequency room-mode mitigation,” and broadband sound absorption. All Pro Packs include fabric-wrapped panels, “ceiling clouds” (absorbers), curve diffusors, CornerSorbers, and mounting hardware.

The fabric-covered panels included with the Home Room Packs are available in “ship-from-stock” gray (Graphite) and beige (Serengeti) with other colors available via special order. Pro Room panels are offered in six readily available colors and 23 additional colors, which requiring longer lead time for delivery. Colors range from the popular Onyx and Birch to “unique color textures” such as Beach Glass and Sandy Pebble.

“We’re excited to strengthen Acoustic Geometry’s presence in the retail market space through the Pro Room and Home Room Pack solutions,” said John Calder, Acoustic Geometry’s director of retail sales. “Each set offers balanced room audio treatments ideal for all applicable settings, be it a home theater or high-end recording studio. No matter the environment, all rooms will not only have improved sound, but will now also include a visually appealing design element. We’ve had great feedback on both sets of solutions and hope to continue to build upon that success with an increased presence in the retail market.”
