We are all flattered by your kind comments about the Model 7125 amplifier. For those who might be interested, our design goal for the 7125 was to develop maximum performance for a 7.1 amplifier at $1000. While we'd love to sell our more expensive five and seven channel power amps, we have to admit that for about three quarters of our customers the 7125 will fit their needs perfectly. The measurements, especially at lower impedances, tend to bear this out.

Our philosophy on power delivery always has been "all channels driven"-even at four ohms. While many will argue that this approach is not necessary (because there is little if any program material that makes those demands), we still feel it is important. All too often, many manufacturers (especially those who deliver mass market receivers) exploit the recently loosened rules on power ratings by getting away with misleading specifications and delivering substandard real world performance. For example there is a growing list of "7 x 100 watt" receivers that deliver nowhere near that power even for three channels.

An "all channels driven" rating makes this skimping virtually impossible. While this design approach is expensive due to the need to meet high current demands and offer lots of heat sinking, it ensures that all high performance manufacturers compete on a level playing field.

We do not mean to imply that Outlaw is only company adhering to this tough standard, There is still a small number of worthy competitors who deliver what they promise, (with no asterisks or qualifications) We have the highest respect for those companies who have chosen to do the right thing.

Getting back to the 7125, we wanted you to know that at $1000, this is the best amplifier we know how to build. We thank Ultimate A/V for granting us this review opportunity
