SVS announced plans to unveil a multipurpose speaker at CES designed to convey height information in Atmos and DTS:X “immersive surround sound” setups or serve as a surround-channel or center speaker in setups where conventional placement is not possible.

SVS was among less than a handful of audio companies haunting the halls of the Venetian hotel’s north tower at CES 2022, but the trek over there was worth it to see the company’s new Prime Wireless Pro Speakers. An evolution of the company’s current Prime Wireless model, the new version has a bigger cabinet for deeper bass, an HDMI eARC input, and—in response to user feedback—a remote control.

The SVS Virtual Audiophile Happy Hour is back and the guest this week is among the most well-known figures in the world of audio. This Thursday, August 20 at 6 p.m. ET, SVS President Gary Yacoubian, National Training Manager Larry McGough, and Vice President Nick Brown will go unscripted and broadcast live on the SVS Facebook page and YouTube channel to discuss favorite demos, answer questions about audio and home theater, and give away some SVS products.
