This graph shows the quasi-anechoic (employing close-miking of all woofers) frequency response of the SA1750 L/R (purple trace), SE200 subwoofer (blue trace), SA720AV center channel (green trace), and SA710 surround (red trace). All passive loudspeakers were measured at a distance of 1 meter with a 2.83-volt input and scaled for display purposes.

The SA1750's listening-window response (a five-point average of axial and +/–15-degree horizontal and vertical responses) measures +1.88/–3.44 dB from 200 Hz to 10 kHz. The –3dB point is at 64 Hz, and the –6dB point is at 57 Hz. Impedance reaches a minimum of 3.88 ohms at 241 Hz and a phase angle of –43.57 degrees at 126 Hz.

The SA720AV's listening-window response measures +3.18/–2.73 dB from 200 Hz to 10 kHz. An average of axial and +/–15-degree horizontal responses measures +2.71/–3.28 dB from 200 Hz to 10 kHz. The –3dB point is at 77 Hz, and the –6dB point is at 63 Hz. Impedance reaches a minimum of 3.47 ohms at 216 Hz and a phase angle of –37.65 degrees at 129 Hz.

The SA710's listening-window response measures +2.07/–2.78 dB from 200 Hz to 10 kHz. The –3dB point is at 77 Hz, and the –6dB point is at 61 Hz. Impedance reaches a minimum of 3.55 ohms at 221 Hz and a phase angle of –37.93 degrees at 136 Hz.

The SE200's close-miked response with the box sealed, normalized to the level at 80 Hz, indicates that the lower –3dB point is at 54 Hz and the –6dB point is at 42 Hz. The upper –3dB point is at 136 Hz with the Cut Freq and Bass Boost controls at maximum.—MJP
