This graph shows the quasi-anechoic (employing close-miking of all woofers) frequency response of the Triton Seven L/R (purple trace), ForceField 5 subwoofer (blue trace), and SuperCenter X center channel (green trace). All passive loudspeakers were measured with grilles at a distance of 1 meter with a 2.83-volt input and scaled for display purposes. (Please note that the Invisa 650 surround speakers were not measured as they require in-wall or in-ceiling mounting to function properly.)

The Triton Seven’s listening-window response (a five-point average of axial and +/–15-degree horizontal and vertical responses) measures +1.08/–4.16 decibels from 200 hertz to 10 kilohertz. The –3dB point is at 62 Hz, and the –6dB point is at 52 Hz. Impedance reaches a minimum of 4.54 ohms at 200 Hz and a phase angle of –27.92 degrees at 84 Hz. The SuperCenter X’s listening-window response measures +3.19/–4.22 dB from 200 Hz to 10 kHz. An average of axial and +/–15-degree horizontal responses measures +3.49/–5.08 dB from 200 Hz to 10 kHz. The –3dB point is at 73 Hz, and the –6dB point is at 59 Hz. Impedance reaches a minimum of 3.90 ohms at 200 Hz and a phase angle of –43.55 degrees at 106 Hz.

The ForceField 5’s close-miked response, normalized to the level at 80 Hz, indicates that the lower –3dB point is at 24 Hz and the –6dB point is at 21 Hz. The upper –3dB point is at 138 Hz with the Lowpass Crossover control set to maximum. —MJP

It would be great if you guys would do a review of the new supercenters

How are these towers compared to the SVS Ultra Tower Surround Speaker System?

I cant decide if I should go with the SVS Ultra Tower or TritonThree. Which are priced the same at $1000 each.

Or perhaps add a $500 more and get a TrianTwo.

I am looking for anyone who has had a direct comparison of the Triton Threes and SVS Ultra's. I have heard the SVS Prime towers and really, really liked them but the powered sub of Triton Three is quite tempting.
