This graph shows the quasi-anechoic (employing close-miking of all woofers) frequency response of the BeoLab 18 L/R (purple trace), BeoLab 19 subwoofer (blue trace), and BeoLab 17 surround (red trace). All loudspeakers were measured with grilles using the analog line-level input with the Position switch set to Free Standing at a distance of 1 meter and scaled for display purposes.
The BeoLab 18’s listening-window response (a five-point average of axial and +/–15-degree horizontal and vertical responses) measures +2.14/–4.99 decibels from 200 hertz to 10 kilohertz. The –3dB point is at 52 Hz, and the –6dB point is at 43 Hz.
The BeoLab 17’s listening-window response measures +2.35/–2.50 dB from 200 Hz to 10 kHz. An average of axial and +/–15-degree horizontal responses measures +2.34/–2.88 dB from 200 Hz to 10 kHz. The –3dB point is at 48 Hz, and the –6dB point is at 42 Hz.
The BeoLab 19’s close-miked response, normalized to the level at 80 Hz, indicates that the lower –3dB point is at 24 Hz and the –6dB point is at 20 Hz. The upper –3dB point is at 681 Hz with the LP Filter switch set to Off and the Position switch set to Free Standing.—MJP
