Top Pick of the Year:

Stewart Harmony G2 Acoustically Transparent
(April/May) Read Review

Acoustically Transparent (AT) projection screens generally don't draw a lot of attention, but Stewart Filmscreen changed that situation up in 2021 with the release of its Harmony G2 AT screen. Calling it a "reference-level" AT offering, our reviewer Michael P. Hamilton cited its excellent uniformity and detail rendition, accurate color saturation, and overall neutrality. Best of all, those quali- ties come with only a minimal reduction in audio fidelity compared with other AT screens. $3,242 (as tested), stewartfilmscreen.com

Finalists:

EPV Screens DarkStar UST 2 Efinity
(August/September) Read Review

An ambient light rejecting screen designed for use with ultra short throw projectors, the DarkStar UST 2 Efinity from EPV Screens is a solid and reasonably priced offering for those seeking an immersive 123-inch diagonal image. At that size, you'll need a very bright projector to make the solution work, but as we noted in our review, if "you put in careful effort to control the lighting in your viewing environment, the epic image delivered by the DarkStar UST 2 can easily transport you to other worlds." $2,799, epvscreens.com
