Wharfedale Jade 7 Speaker System HT Labs Measures
L/R Sensitivity:
88 dB from 500 Hz to 2 kHz
Center Sensitivity:
89 dB from 500 Hz to 2 kHz
Surround Sensitivity:
86 dB from 500 Hz to 2 kHz

This graph shows the quasi-anechoic (employing close-miking of all woofers) frequency response of the Jade 7 L/R (purple trace), Jade C2 center channel (green trace), and Jade 3 surround (red trace). All passive loudspeakers were measured with grilles at a distance of 1 meter with a 2.83-volt input and scaled for display purposes.
The Jade 7’s listening-window response (a five-point average of axial and +/–15-degree horizontal and vertical responses) measures +0.99/–3.18 decibels from 200 hertz to 10 kilohertz. The –3-dB point is at 52 Hz, and the –6-dB point is at 44 Hz. Impedance reaches a minimum of 3.95 ohms at 91 Hz and a phase angle of –42.01 degrees at 64 Hz.
The Jade C2’s listening-window response measures +1.88/–3.59 dB from 200 Hz to 10 kHz. An average of axial and +/–15-degree horizontal responses measures +2.17/–3.90 dB from 200 Hz to 10 kHz. The –3-dB point is at 60 Hz, and the –6-dB point is at 51 Hz. Impedance reaches a minimum of 3.07 ohms at 802 Hz and a phase angle of +43.41 degrees at 1.6 kHz.
The Jade 3’s listening-window response measures +1.17/–3.00 dB from 200 Hz to 10 kHz. The –3-dB point is at 58 Hz, and the –6-dB point is at 47 Hz. Impedance reaches a minimum of 3.98 ohms at 99 Hz and a phase angle of –59.41 degrees at 57 Hz.—MJP
