The Sharp’s video performance was tested from the player (rather than through the included WiHD wireless transmitter/receiver). The player failed the 2:2 HD test with some visible moiré, but this failure is common in many of the devices we test and should not be an issue with most program material. Its performance on the other tests was exemplary and among the best we’ve seen.—TJN
