Innovative Audio Cabinet Speakers HT Labs Measures
This graph shows the quasi-anechoic (employing close-miking of all woofers) frequency response of the Cabinet Speaker L/R (purple trace), SubTable subwoofer (blue trace), and High-Definition Armoire center channel (green trace). All passive loudspeakers were measured at a distance of 1 meter with a 2.83-volt input and scaled for display purposes.
On-axis response of the Cabinet Speaker L/R measures +1.97/-3.55 decibels from 200 hertz to 10 kilohertz. The -3dB point is at 42 Hz, and the -6dB point is at 35 Hz. Impedance reaches a minimum of 4.78 ohms at 80 Hz and a phase angle of -71.10 degrees at 47 Hz. Sensitivity averages 86.5 dB from 500 Hz to 2 kHz.
On-axis response of the Armoire center measures +5.62/-5.14 dB from 200 Hz to 10 kHz. An average of axial and (+/-15 degree) horizontal responses measures +3.93/-3.23 dB from 200 Hz to 10 kHz. The -3dB point is at 83 Hz, and the -6dB point is at 61 Hz. Impedance reaches a minimum of 4.18 ohms at 284 Hz and a phase angle of +32.35 degrees at 9.4 kHz. Sensitivity averages 90 dB from 500 Hz to 2 kHz.
Close-miked response of the SubTable subwoofer, normalized to the average level from 40 Hz to 80 Hz, indicates that the lower -3dB point is at 42 Hz and the -6dB point is at 34 Hz. The upper -3dB point is at 94 Hz with the "Low Pass" control engaged and set to maximum.—AJ
