Aperion Verus Grand Speaker System HT Labs Measures

HT Labs Measures

L/R Sensitivity: 90.5 dB from 500 Hz to 2 kHz

Center Sensitivity: 88 dB from 500 Hz to 2 kHz

Surround Sensitivity: 86.5 dB from 500 Hz to 2 kHz

This graph shows the quasi-anechoic (employing close-miking of all woofers) frequency response of the Verus Grand Tower L/R (purple trace), Verus Grand Center center-channel speaker (green trace), and Verus Grand Bookshelf surround (red trace). All passive loudspeakers were measured with grilles at a distance of 1 meter with a 2.83-volt input and scaled for display purposes.

The Verus Grand Tower’s listening-window response (a five-point average of axial and +/–15-degree horizontal and vertical responses) measures +0.59/–2.21 decibels from 200 hertz to 10 kilohertz. The –3-dB point is at 43 Hz, and the –6-dB point is at 34 Hz. Impedance reaches a minimum of 4.38 ohms at 102 Hz and a phase angle of –45.25 degrees at 69 Hz.

The Verus Grand Center’s listening-window response measures +2.40/–2.74 dB from 200 Hz to 10 kHz. An average of axial and +/–15-degree horizontal responses measures +2.27/–2.54 dB from 200 Hz to 10 kHz. The –3-dB point is at 59 Hz, and the –6-dB point is at 51 Hz. Impedance reaches a minimum of 5.95 ohms at 132 Hz and a phase angle of –40.71 degrees at 79 Hz.

The Verus Grand Bookshelf’s listening-window response measures +2.79/–1.83 dB from 200 Hz to 10 kHz. The –3-dB point is at 68 Hz, and the –6-dB point is at 59 Hz. Impedance reaches a minimum of 5.21 ohms at 179 Hz and a phase angle of –53.90 degrees at 111 Hz.—MJP
