Panasonic 50" Viera Plasma HDTV and Blu-Ray Home Theater System Giveaway - Official Rules

1. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED. Log on to www.soundandvisionmag.com/viera and click on the 'Giveaways' link and fill in the requested information. Entries may be submitted after 12:00 noon ET on November 15nd, 2008. Entries must be received no later than 12:00 noon ET on January 31st, 2009. Limit one entry per person, per day. Limit one prize per person.

2. This Giveaway is open to legal residents of the 50 United States and DC, 18 years of age and older as of time of entry, except the employees of Hachette Filipacchi Media U.S., Inc., Panasonic (collectively "Sponsor") and members of their immediate families.

3. Entries that are lost, late, illegible, incomplete, misdirected or incompletely received, including by reason of technical malfunction, congestion or incompatibility, will not be eligible. No telephone calls will be accepted.

4. The winner will be awarded a Panasonic 50" Viera Plasma HDTV and Blu-Ray Home Theater System (Total Approximate Retail Value of all Prizes: $3,400*).

5. One (1) winner will be selected in a random drawing on or about January 31, 2009 from all eligible entrants. The odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received. The Winner will be notified by mail and/or by e-mail. The winner must comply with all instructions in the prize notification and winner's complete response must be received by Sponsor within 14 days of the date on the prize notification. If not, prize will be forfeited and an alternate winner selected. Winner may be asked to complete an affidavit and release.

6. No substitution or transfer of prizes will be allowed. Upon delivery of any prize to winner, Sponsor will be deemed to have awarded the prize to the winner with winner assuming full ownership and responsibility for the prize.

7. By entering and/or accepting a prize, winner releases and agrees to hold harmless Sponsors, their parent, affiliate and subsidiary companies, directors, officers, employees, representatives, and agents from any and all liability for any injuries, loss or damage of any kind, including death, arising in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from acceptance, possession, use or misuse of a prize or participation in this Giveaway. Acceptance of prize constitutes consent to use winner's name and likeness for editorial, advertising and publicity purposes, without further compensation, except where prohibited.

8. Sponsor reserves the right to modify, suspend, or terminate any entry of this Giveaway in the event that it becomes infected by a computer virus or is otherwise technically impaired. In the event of early termination, a random drawing will be held from among all eligible received at the time of termination. Sponsor also reserves the right to disqualify any entrant found tampering with the entry process or with the operation of the Giveaway or the Web site.

9. Liability for any applicable federal, state or other taxes will be the sole responsibility of the winner.

10. This Giveaway is governed by the laws of the United States with venue in New York County in the State of New York. By entering, you agree to be bound by these rules and you give your express permission to be contacted by Sponsor by e-mail and/or mail.

11. For a winners list, mail a self-addressed, stamped envelope to: Sound & Vision Sweepstakes, 1633 Broadway 45th Floor, New York, NY 10019. Residents of VT may omit postage.
