Sony A95L QD-OLED TVs Get PlayStation Remote Play

It’s surprising that it has taken this long but Sony is finally leveraging its crown jewel — the $26 billion PlayStation business — in the high-performance Bravia XR A95L series of 4K QD-OLED TVs announced in March.

You can add PlayStation Remote Play to the list of features that will be available in A95L series TVs when they ship in early October. The line has three screen sizes — 55 inch ($2,800), 65 inch ($3,500), and 77 inch ($5,000) — all of which are now available for pre-order with an estimated ship date of October 13th.

The TVs are among the first Google/Android TVs to offer the Remote Play feature, which provides access to games installed on a PS5 or PS4 console, regardless of where the console is located, allowing gamers to easily switch between devices and resume gameplay from where they left off.

“As long as a compatible device, such as the Bravia XR A95L, and a high-speed internet connection are available, users will be able to tap into the power of PlayStation from anywhere, enabling gamers to access their consoles and continue their adventures even when away from home,” Sony said in the official press announcement.

A95L series TVs automatically switch into Game Mode when connected to a PS5 console to maximize responsiveness and support 4K/120fps in addition to featuring variable refresh rate (VRR), auto low latency mode (ALLM), Dolby Vision high dynamic range (HDR), and auto HDR tone mapping.
