(October print) Samsung’s superb local dimming scheme and nanocrystal backlight technology added up to a startlingly good image that was among the best we’ve seen for HDR. Originally at $4,500 when we reviewed it, by year-end it was selling for just $3,000 at the major retailers—an impressively fair price for such a fine television. $4,500, samsung.com
