Orlando, FL based Automated Technology Control Partners introduced the TiO StealthStream 1 (AZSS1) digital audio zone player at CEDIA 2013. At 1.9 x 2.73 x 3.9 inches, the company calls the small black box (with a stubby antenna protruding from it) the smallest such player on the market and says it provides a simple, cost-effective multi-room music solution—one that is controlled and configured through the TiO Home Android App.

Connect the StealthStream 1 to the home network and it brings access (via Wi-Fi) to online music streaming services and music stored on the network to the room or area where it’s located in addition to supporting local streaming from Bluetooth-enabled smartphones and tablets. The player can also synchronize and control up to six zone players and supports multiple streams. Features of the app include the ability to capture desired settings with one button press so specific “moods” can be recalled at any time as well as create and store whole-house experiences with, say, music playing throughout the home and news coming on in the kitchen every morning.

The StealthStream 1 is designed for in-wall mounting in a standard single-gang opening (brackets included) and features a built-in 2 x 50-watt digital amplifier, an optical audio input for connection to a TV or other digital source component, an analog audio output, and screw-terminal speaker connectors. Pricing is $600 for the player only, $800 with a 4-inch surface-mount touchscreen panel, and $900 with a 7-inch touchscreen panel. The TiO platform also supports lighting and climate control.
