Screen Innovations Releases Black Diamond Fusion ALR Screen
The Fusion ALR supports displays up to 130 inches in a 16:9 aspect ratio and features a 1.0 gain, 160-degree viewing angle, and a dark gray optical-layered surface. It is compatible with projectors that have a 1.5:1 throw ratio or greater and is engineered to minimize artifacts such as hot spots, texture, and sparkle—common issues in ambient light rejecting screens.
The company says its new screen rejects 95% of ambient light. It keeps image brightness, black levels, and color accuracy intact. The company says the Fusion ALR has the reflectivity of a white screen and doesn't need high-lumen projectors. This makes it great for boardrooms, retail displays, museums, airports, and hotels.
According to Screen Innovations CEO Ryan Gustafson, the development process involved years of iterative testing and optical refinement. The result, he said, addresses long-standing limitations in ALR screen design while maintaining ease of installation. The Fusion ALR mounts using the same system as the company’s Slate 1.2 screen and is available in both Sub-Zero and Zero Edge frame styles. Optional LED backlighting is also offered.
SI makes all its screens and shading systems in a 75,000-square-foot factory in Austin, Texas. The company designs products for commercial and residential markets. It uses LEAN production practices to cut waste and lessen environmental impact.
