iLuv Rocks the SyrenPro, Wavecast, and Rollick Portable Speakers

iLuv offers a plethora of portable wireless Bluetooth speakers. Not surprisingly, at CES, they expanded their lineup in this popular category. In particular, three portable speakers caught my eye: the SyrenPro, Wavecast, and Rollick.

The SyrenPro (pictured) is iLuv's first Bluetooth speaker with TrueWireless Stereo. Exactly what is that? It lets you pair two units wirelessly to properly reproduce stereo playback via two speakers. iLuv has previously offered a Syren Bluetooth speaker before, but the SyrenPro is the first with the duo feature. The SyrenPro is housed in a splash- and UV-resistant case, so it's better able to withstand the rigors of outdoor use. However, it falls short of being waterproof. As with an increasing number of other Bluetooth speakers, this one offers voice prompts to ease the already painless task of pairing. Of course, there is also a minijack input for connecting to non-Bluetooth devices. Battery life is pegged at about 4 hours.

The SyrenPro sports iLuv's jAura sound technology, which is said to improve tonal balance. Also, the unit has a sound chamber that is said to augment bass response. Digging a little deeper, we see a 3-inch coaxial speaker inside the very funky looking cabinet. The SyrenPro is available in black and white. An AC adapter is included. Dimensions are 8.3 x 11.6 x 8.3 inches. Weight is 0.68 pounds. It has an MSRP of $150, and will be available in January.

The Wavecast is a Bluetooth speaker with an eye-catching raindrop pattern style and matte finish. Volume and play/pause can be controlled via top buttons or via Bluetooth. It also features iLuv's jAura signal processing as well as a bass radiator. It offers a minijack wired input. Its battery provides 4 hours of playing time. The WaveCast comes in black, white, and pink; it will have an MSRP of $50 and will be available in February.

The Rollick is a Bluetooth speaker with a rounded style derived from iLuv's iSP100 speaker. The 2-way system also features jAura signal processing. Volume and play/pause can be controlled from the front panel or via Bluetooth. A minijack input is on board. Its battery provides a 4-hour playback time. It comes in black/red, white, and pink. The Rollick will have an MSRP of $60 and will be available in March.
