Black Friday Deals! Hulu and Channel Add-Ons for $1 and Lots More

Black Friday deals on streaming subscriptions may be the best way to try out new apps. Many channels and apps have dollar deals that give you enough time to watch those titles that you didn't want to spend full price to see. This is a push by the streaming services to get more subscribers (that equates to more advertising dollars for ad-supported services). And they are hoping that once you subscribe, you'll stay with the service. Between Thanksgiving day and midnight on Cyber Monday is the best time to sign up for deals on Hulu, AMC+, and many add-on channels, as well as streaming player/streaming software bundles.

Hulu is reviving its 2018 Black Friday deal. The $7 per month ad-supported subscription is $1 per month (a $72 savings). The deal is not only for new subscribers but anyone who has not subscribed in the past month. You can get the sale price from 12:01 p.m. ET on November 25th and 11:59 p.m. ET on Monday, November 29th.

The subscription to AMC+ that includes channels like AMC, Shudder, Sundance Now, and BBC America is usually $9 per month. AMC+ is offering a big discount when you sign up for the annual plan. During Black Friday, it's $23.88 for the year ($1.99 per month) — a $74.12 savings.

Showtime is offering new subscribers 30 days free then $4/month for four months. Starz is offering $20 for 6 months, which will auto renew at $44 for 6 months unless cancelled.

To get a full thirty days of Paramount +, enter the code PEAKSALE when you sign up.

Save almost 50% on any NBA League Pass using the code: NBALP50US at checkout. The deal includes the $30 NBA TV bundle for an additional 100 live games. The $199 season pass is $115 for the ad-supported service on one device. The Premium Pass is commercial-free and can be watched on two devices simultaneously. Instead of $249, it's $140. The sale starts Black Friday, November 26th at 12:01 a.m. ET and goes to Monday, November 29th at 11:59 p.m. ET. A similar deal may be available to cable subscribers. Check with your cable provider.

Cord cutters can get the Sling TV BOGO (Buy One Get One) sale, where subscribers can buy one month of the Orange or Blue plans at $35, or a combined plan for $50, and get the second month free. The offer ends November 29th.

If you need a new 4K streaming device to play Sling TV and are willing to pre-pay the $35 for the first month, you can get a free Chromecast 4K. The deal is available to new and eligible former customers.

For those who aren't looking for live TV but are interested in a Chromecast 4K player, Google is having a sale and offering bundles. Chromecast is on sale for $10 off and is available for $40. Or, for $90, get a bundle with Chromecast 4K with Google TV and six months of Netflix (a $54 savings). This is the $15 Netflix Standard Streaming 2-screen plan. Also, customers who purchase a Chromecast will be eligible to receive 3-months of the HBO Max Ad-Free plan (total current value $44.97) included with their purchase (MSRP: $64.99). These deals go through December 31st.

Google is also offering a deal on YouTube TV to give you enough time to decide if you like the service. They are still offering the 7-day free trial, but for Black Friday, you can add on the first month for $15 instead of $65. New and existing subscribers can also get YouTube TV add-on channels for 99 cents per month for the first two months. Participating channels include STARZ, EPIX, Cinemax, Curiosity Stream, AMC+, Shudder, Sundance Now, Acorn TV, allblk, Law and Crime, Con TV, Dove Channel, Comedy Dynamics, and more. The deal is only for new add-ons and doesn't apply to those to which you already subscribe.

On Black Friday, you can find more audio sales. Amazon is offering a bundle that includes three months of Amazon Music Unlimited and Showtime for $1 per month. Amazon Unlimited is usually $8 for Prime members, and Showtime runs $11 per month, so it's a savings of $56.84. Prime and non-Prime members can get Amazon Music Unlimited and six months of free Disney+ for $10. Those who buy an Amazon Echo device also get Amazon Music Unlimited Free for six months.

Now is also a good time to check out Tidal. Get three months for $1 per month or the Tidal Hifi Plus plan for $2 per month.
