Dynaudio Debuts a Next-gen Wireless Speaker

Dynaudio’s first- and second-gen Xeo wireless speakers were previously reviewed in Sound & Vision. Long story short, we liked ‘em. Now the company has a new wireless speaker, the Xeo 2, that adds a few features the previous versions lacked, and is also considerably more affordable.

While the earlier Xeos had to be paired with Dynaudio’s Hub or Connect wireless transmitters, the Xeo 2 has Bluetooth AptX to support direct streaming from a smartphone or other device. It can also work with the company’s wireless transmitters, and provides mini and RCA analog and 24/96-capable optical digital inputs to extend connection options. The Xeo 2’s 5.5-inch woofer and 1-inch soft dome tweeter each get 65 watts power, and there are EQ modes for wall or corner placement.

The Dynaudio Xeo 2 costs $1,599/pair and is shipping now.
