LG made a bold statement with its Signature model and other OLED TVs at CES, but it isn’t the only company hawking the technology. A surprisingly small A/V product showcase in Panasonic’s booth featured the company’s forthcoming 65CZ950 OLED UHDTV.

According to Panasonic, the 65-inch curved screen model is available in England and Germany at a U.S. equivalent price of about $11,000. No news yet on when it will arrive stateside. The set features a 4K Studio Master processor, professional-quality color management, and has been performance-tuned by a celebrated film industry colorist. The footage Panasonic was screening certainly showed off the OLED’s black level advantages—shadows looked as black as can be.

The other TV Panasonic had on hand was the 65DX900, labeled as the "World’s first Ultra HD Premium" 4K TV. Also scheduled for spring availability (in Europe, that is), the 65-inch flat-screen LCD will provide all the benefits that the UHD Alliance’s Ultra HD Premium designation implies, including 1,000 nits peak brightness with HDR content and 10-bit color.

Of course, you’ll need an Ultra HD Blu-ray player to go with those TVs—Panasonic’s DMP-UB900, for example. Like the TVs, the DMP-UB900 will be available in Europe this spring at a price TBA. In addition to UHD Blu-ray playback, the player will be able to decode DSD, ALAC, FLAC and WAV audio formats.
