Q SUB Series Promises Tight Bass, Flexible Placement

The DSP technology, according to Q Acoustics, allows precise tuning of bass response, including phase adjustments, signal delay, and crossover points to better match any speaker setup. Additionally, the company highlights an infinite-baffle design, claiming tighter bass performance and simpler placement near walls compared to ported subs.

Each subwoofer features an 18mm MDF cabinet reinforced with double-thick front baffles and internal dart bracing to minimize vibrations and maintain structural integrity. Amplification is provided by a custom parallel bridge-tied load (PBTL) module rated for 300W continuous output, with peaks up to 600W, and a stated distortion rating (THD) below 0.1% at maximum continuous power.
The Q SUB series also includes convenient standby modes that activate automatically when signals are detected and minimize power usage when inactive.
Pricing for the Q SUB series starts at $899 for the Q SUB80, with the Q SUB100 at $1,049 and the Q SUB120 priced at $1,249. All three models are available now.
