RBH Sound showed its new high performance Signature Series speakers, dubbed the 8300-SE and the reference version, the 8300-SE/R. The 8300-SE features three 8-inch aluminum cone subwoofers, two 6.5-inch mid-bass drivers and 1-inch soft dome tweeter. The 8300-SE/R, shown in the photo has upgraded 6.5-inch mid-bass drivers with a phase plug, a liquid-cooled Scanspeak silk dome tweeter and a modified crossover network resulting in increased power handling capacity. The 8300 speakers can be bi-amped or bi-wired.

Cabinets are constructed with .75-inch MDF and are internally braced to prevent resonance and internal standing waves. RBH offers 30 different woodgrain veneers and finishes for the 8300 speakers including an unfinished model to allow the owner to customize the appearance according to their preferences. The 8300-SE have a suggested retail price of $7999 per pair and the reference model sells for $8449 per pair. RBH showed a variety of center channel and surround sound speaker options with similar drivers and timbre to complement the 8300 Signature Series.

I listened to a few vocal tracks from Jane Monheit and Dianne Reeves "Come In" played on a Boulder components. Clarity and bass depth were awesome, a truly outstanding demo.
