The latest Kanto product to use the name Syd (whose significance has yet to be explained) adopts a horizontal form factor.

The drive units, a four-inch Kevlar woofer and 0.75-inch silk tweeter, are similar to those in the YU4 monitor, backed with a 70-watt RMS amp. When I reviewed the YU6, I loved using the phono preamp, and Syd has that plus a sub-out.

Available in charcoal grey (which the company calls off-black) or white. Shipping in spring for $299, stand included.
