The Gallo Acoustics Nucleus Reference Stradas measure radically differently from speakers with conventional tweeters. While the Strada’s off-axis response above 5.5 kHz is among the most consistent we have seen, its averaged frequency response is erratic, with a deep dip between 1.8 and 7 kHz. The Strada Center has a similar averaged response but very inconsistent off-axis response. The TR-3 subwoofer delivers frequency response down to 14 Hz, an impressive achievement considering its size. However, its output is limited, with average low bass (40 to 63 Hz) of 82.3 dB and average ultra-low bass (20 to 31.5 Hz) of 76.1 dB.
