B&O’s New TVs Offer Ultra HD Resolution, Wood

The BeoVision 14, a new Series of Ultra HDTVs unveiled by Danish manufacturer Bang & Olufsen today at its CEDIA press event, up the ante on the aesthetics front by providing an element not often seen in modern TV design: wood.

The optional oak lamella covering the BeoVision 14’s three-way stereo speakers adds $1,200 to the cost of the TV, which comes in 40 and 55-inch sizes (priced at $7,046 and $9,546, respectively). Otherwise, BeoVision 14 sets run the Android Smart TV platform, support Google Cast, and incorporate BeoLink multiroom technology to sync with other Bang & Olufsen products including the beautiful-looking new Beosound 1 and 2 wireless speakers the company also showcased at CEDIA.

Along with the BeoVision 14, B&O also rolled out—literally—its new BeoVision Horizon TV. Aimed at restless Millenials on the move, the Horizon Series features a rotating wheel stand that lets you easily position the TV anywhere you like. Boasting mostly similar specs and features to the BeoVision 14 Series, the Horizon Series comes in 40- and 46-inch screen sizes priced at $3,495 and $5,495, respectively.
