So much to watch, so little time. HBO has announced its lineup for April, an eclectic mix of TV series with a movie, a couple documentaries, and a newsmagazine series thrown in for good measure. All of the releases are digital downloads except for My Brilliant Friend and Icebox, which are being released on DVD. Guess someone thinks DVD is good enough for those titles — at least for now.

DVD offered an upgrade in picture quality over VHS tape plus the convenience of a CD-like disc that wasn’t prone to wear and made it quick and easy to navigate through content, putting an end to tedious rewinding and fast-forwarding.
