Krell Industries, manufacturer of high-end audio components has added an audio streaming unit to their line. The Krell Connect can handle up to 24/192 decoding so it will stream uncompressed audio. It is available as a fully digital model for $2500 or with analog output for $3500. The analog version includes a resolution D/A converterr and can do up to 24/192 decoding. When connected to Krell's Foundation audio processor and pre-amp, digital music could sound better than you ever thought possible.
LG brings new features to their premium smart TVs that includes a newly designed remote control. The remote control brings fast access to your favorite streaming services and includes a button to bring up info about the current show you are watching. It also makes it possible to view 360 photos and video and record a zoomed-in image.
The 2016 lineup of LG’s smart TVs will continue to use their own operating system, Web OS. This year’s new Magic Mobile feature is the ability to connect to a smartphone in its own unique way.
LG demonstrated its newly designed Web OS 2 that will be available on their 2015 TVs. Web OS has a number of new streaming partners and will now include integration when connected to your set top box. Users will be able to display program guides from their TV provider and control a connected set top box then quickly switch to other apps including online streaming services.
LG showed an upgraded model of its Smart Upgrader media player and streamer. The new model is 3D compatible, and is able to play almost any kind of video file.
The 2012 model will come with the LG magic wand remote that can act like a virtual mouse for navigation.
Upgraded from last year’s models this LG Smart Ugrader has a web browser that includes both Flash 10 and HTML 5, which means it can stream videos from many TV and movie websites.
LG will still offer a less expensive model similar to its 2011 Smart Upgrader. Both include Vudu, Netflix, YouTube and access to download 1200 LG smart TV apps.
