Speaker stands are one of those things you just don't think much about---until you need them. Once you do, finding the right ones for your speakers and your room can be a time-consuming chore. Too often, those that are available look like they would be more at home in an auto repair shop.

Vidikron's PlasmaView family has a new sibling. Officially introduced at the recent Consumer Electronics Show, the VP-42HD is a high-resolution 16:9 plasma display monitor ("PDP"), boasting a native resolution of 1024x768. The VP-42HD is "a high-resolution alternative to the enhanced resolution VP-42," states a company announcement.

Vizio is shipping its M-Series Razor line of LED-based LCD smart TVs offering nine 1080p models in screen sizes between 32 and 80 inches. Available at Best Buy, Amazon, and Walmart, the models feature a “near borderless” frame design with a metallic finish, a metal base and neck for added stability, and onboard apps via Vizio’s improved Internet Apps Plus feature.
