In 2074 time travel is a marvelous reality — and has therefor been immediately banned. As is always the case with laws, though, hoods rarely heed inhibitions and use the technology to dispose of enemies by sending them back thirty years to 2044 for execution by Loopers. In the future, no body no murder. In the past, no citizen no crime.

The much-anticipated film adaptation of London and Broadway's smash hit, "Les Misérables" debuted last week with a fresh new approach to film-making. Unlike typical musicals, "Les Mis" didn't use a pre-recorded vocal score, but instead, the actors sang live on the set.

Can I like the idea of a thing, better than the thing? This is the question I'm pondering as I write up this admittedly cool LED/laser hybrid projector from ViewSonic. Instead of UHP lamps or even "regular" LEDs, the Pro9000 adds a laser to the mix, because ... well because it's cool, right?

While it gets an "A" on the technology front, its performance grade is notably lower.
