RCA and Terk Unveil Stylish Antennas

Recognizing that the number of cord-cutters and cord-nevers (those that have never subscribed to cable) are increasing, and that they will want local programming to go along with their streaming entertainment, Terk and RCA revealed it’s new line up of stylish TV antennas. Able to powerfully receive over-the-air local broadcasts the new models are designed to fit into any decor. Two models were shown at the company’s CES press conference.

Eschewing the old rabbit ears and space aged shapes, the RCA’s Sliver flat antenna technology can sit horizontally on top of a media center and look much like other home theater components. It comes in two sizes—the Sliver and the Sliver XL—in amplified and non-amplified models for $69 and $29 respectively.

The second model is the “Sky Bar.” It mounts to the wall and can be placed either above, below, or behind a flat screen TV. Long and flat, the antenna is unobtrusive and will also be available in amplified and non-amplified versions for $59 and $39.

In further support of the cord cutters and cord-nevers who stream their entertainment, RCA and Terk are offering a new promotion where those who purchase an antenna will receive a free 10 day trial of Sling TV.
