Snuck into the HD DVD Group's presentation Sunday night was the explosive anouncement that true high-end is about to meet HD DVD- Meridian is releasing an HD DVD player!

In addition to a broad line of innovative digital audio components Meridian developed Meridian Lossless Packing, the audio coding scheme used for DVD-Audio that is currently used as the core technology for Dolby TrueHD.

No details were known to me at post time here, but look for more on this as I can dig it up!
