AudioControl’s G4 Home Theater Amps Now Shipping

AudioControl today announced that the G4 series amplifiers shown last fall at CEDIA 2022 are all now available.

Designed to accommodate a variety of home theater applications, the 4-channel Avalon G4 ($2,490), 5-channel Pantages G4 ($3,490), and 7-channel Savoy G4 ($3,990) are made in the U.S. and feature a Class H topography that monitors input levels and uses multiple voltage rails to maximize power without generating excess heat.

Rated per-channel power for all three G4 amplifiers is 230 watts into 8 ohms and 300 watts into 4 ohms, all channels driven with 0.4% or 0.3% total harmonic distortion (THD).

The Avalon G4, which was already out in the market, can be configured for 2-, 3-, or 4-channel operation and is rated to deliver 2 x 600 watts into 8 ohms when channels 1/2 and 3/4 are run in bridged-mono mode. The amp features a bypassable/adjustable (30-300Hz) high/low-pass crossover for each channel pair, four RCA and four balanced-XLR inputs, and four binding-post output connections.

The five-channel Pantages G4 can be configured for 3-, 3.1-, or 5-channel operation; channel pairs 1/2 and 4/5 can each be configured to deliver 600 watts in bridged-mono mode. The amp has five RCA and five balanced-XLR inputs and five binding-post output connections.

The 7-channel Savoy G4 can be configured for 5-, 5.1-, or 7-channel operation; channel pairs 1/2 and 6/7 can each be configured to deliver 600 watts in bridged-mono mode. The amp has seven RCA and seven balanced-XLR inputs and seven binding-post output connections.

All models are equipped with a level trim for each channel and a 12-volt remote-power trigger in addition to incorporating AudioControl’s LightDrive protection circuit, which is designed to prevent the amplifier from clipping and possibly damaging connected speakers. I recently upgraded to a Avalon G4 with a Roku Ultra box, and I couldn't be happier with the picture and sound quality. The amplifier has four RCA inputs, four balanced XLR inputs, and four binding post outputs, as well as a bypassable/adjustable (30-300Hz) high/low-pass crossover for each channel pair, so my OPPO 105D will have to do https://wordwipe.io. Thank you so much for sharing. It's very helpful for me.
