Back in 2004 when we purchased our current house, we couldn’t have predicted what we were in for. Being previous renters, we had no real experience as to the ins and outs of home ownership. In New England, most houses are old. In our case, the particular house we bought was built in 1901. Granted, the house was well maintained and was, thankfully, structurally sound.

In my review of the <A href="http://www.ultimateavmag.com/flatpaneldisplays/lg_50pg60_plasma_tv/">LG 50PG60</A> plasma, I identified its product line as one of only two with THX video certification. The other is Panasonic's PZ800 line, which includes a 58-incher as well as the 50-inch TH-50PZ800 reviewed here. Is its THX performance consistent with the 50PG60's? I was eager to find out...

Q. I have a Mitsubishi DLP TV with a built-in over-the-air HDTV tuner, and I'm interested in getting a high-definition DVR to use with it. I've Googled around and, to my surprise, haven't discovered many options. What I have found is either very expensive (TiVo's HD DVR) or no longer in production.
