In 1988, the landmark Anime film "Akira", by director Katsuhiro Otomo, defined the cutting edge of Anime around the world. By today's standards, "Akira" remains a landmark achievement in cel animation and retains the explosive impact of its highly detailed animation and its intensely violent saga of power and corruption.

Inviting and magical, "Alice In Wonderland" is an imaginative new twist on one of the most beloved stories of all time. Alice, now 19 years old, returns to the whimsical world she first entered as a child and embarks on a journey to discover her true destiny. This Wonderland is a world beyond your imagination and unlike anything you've seen before. The extraordinary characters you've loved come to life richer and more colorful than ever.

The 3D Blu-ray presentation is pretty much exactly what I remember from the 3D theatrical presentation. While the 3D does add some depth to the opening sequences, you really don’t get the full effect until Alice makes her trip to Wonderland. From there it is eye candy galore with rich color and amazing detail.

Inspired by the most notorious missing person's case in New York history, "All Good Things" is a love story and murder mystery set against the backdrop of a New York real estate dynasty in the 1980s. The film was inspired by the story of Robert Durst, scion of the wealthy Durst family. Mr. Durst was suspected but never tried for killing his wife Kathie who disappeared in 1982 and was never found.

Can't say I had high hopes for this one going in but Alvin and the Chipmunks ended up being one of the most enjoyable family films I saw this last year. I used to watch the cartoon when I was a kid and this feature film did a good job capturing the spirit and humor of the original show. There are some great laughs here and the music is catchy enough that my daughter had to get up a boogie a bit during the movie. Sure it has a lot of comedy clichs and Hollywood formula, but it was still solid family fun.

Gripping human drama. Sumptuous period epic. Glorious celebration of the music of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. This marvelous winner of eight Academy Awards, including Best Picture, portrays the rivalry between the genius Mozart and the jealous court composer who may have ruined Mozart's career and shortened his life.
