I can't say I'm as big a <I>Star Trek</I> fan as some. I love the stories and characters, but I'm not into the minutiae. I don't know which deck sickbay is on, couldn't tell you the date the first Enterprise was launched (actually it was Stardate 1814, if you can believe Wikipedia), and don't know a word of Klingon.

PlayStation 3 owners rejoice! Today, Sony announced that the next system-software update for the PS3 (version 2.30), scheduled for release next week, will add the ability to decode DTS-HD Master Audio and High Resolution in their entirety. Up to now, the PS3 has only been able to extract the "core" DTS data from these formats, eliminating the benefit offered by their higher resolution.

Since speaker manufacturers typically replace a particular model in their line after 3 years, you could say that 1 human year equals about 25 speaker years. That means Revel's original Salon lasted to the ripe old age of 200 - or 8 years to you and me. The engineers behind the Salon didn't want to create a new model just for the sake of creating a new model.
