The trailer for Jack Reacher: Never Go Back opens with Tom Cruise (Jack Reacher) punching out the driver of a car that’s been following him—through the car window—setting the tone for what promises to be a high-action sequel to 2012’s crime thriller Jack Reacher.

The film, which opens Friday (October 21), has been digitally remastered for the larger-than-life “Imax 2D Experience.”

“One specific goal was to make it how Tom Cruise would feel it,” says supervising sound editor Mark Stoeckinger. “He’s such a physical actor who does his own stunts. You want to have the sound support that vulnerability and it’s important for him to sort of recreate that experience for the audience. He wants the audience to feel what he’s feeling.”
