At $179, Polk Audio's Signa S1 soundbar is definitely affordable.

The skinny bar includes two one- by three-inch oval midrange drivers and two half-inch tweeters. A patent-pending VoiceAdjust mode is said to provide vocal clarity on a par with a dedicated center speaker. The bar is nominally 5.1 with simulated surround and wireless sub. Inputs are optical and analog mini-jack.

The Signa S1 ships in March.
