Audiophile Label Friday Music Launches Webstore

Friday Music, the audiophile label specializing in 180-gram vinyl and “impeccably remastered” CD reissues, has launched a webstore featuring classic albums spanning decades of rock, pop, jazz, and soul

All LPs are 180-gram pressings(some in color) mastered at Friday Music studios. Artists range from Elvis Presley and David Bowie to Earth Wind & Fire and The Sugar Hill Gang to Skid Row and The Grateful Dead.

Recent reissues include several lesser known albums from the David Bowie catalog: Outside, Heathen, and Reality. Albums highlighted for future release include Billy Joel's Greatest Hits Vol. 3, a recording of David Bowie's final live tour A Reality Tour ( 3 LP Box Set), and four vinyl classics from Chicago: Chicago VIII, Chicago X, Chicago XI, and Chicago 16.

“Whether your choice is listening to impeccably mastered compact discs or 180 gram audiophile vinyl...or both, we think we have some of the finest music ever recorded and we hope that you enjoy what we've enjoyed delivering to our fans now for over a decade,” the company said in a press release. “We like to call it our favorite record collection to share with our friends.”

Through the end of the month (February 29), U.S. visitors to the site can enter a sweepstakes to win any single-disc vinyl record in the label’s catalog. Every Friday visitors can also register to win other prizes, including a Crosley Cruiser turntable.

Prices for an upcoming slate of releases featured on the homepage range from $14.98 to $44.98, with most selling for $31.98, and include Blue Oyster Cult’s Agents of Fortune, Harry Chapin’s Heads & Tales, Mountain’s Nantucket Sleighride, and the 30th Anniversary Edition of Billy Joel’s The Bridge.
