Star Trek Beyond Rollout Begins Today

Star Trek Beyond, released theatrically in July as the thirteen film in the 50-year-old Star Trek franchise, is available to purchase digitally today for $29.99 in 4K/Ultra HD high dynamic range (HDR) with a Dolby Atmos soundtrack or $19.99 in HD from vudu.com. iTunes and Amazon are offering only the HD version.

Trekkies and enthusiasts, however, may want to wait for the 4K/Ultra HD Blu-ray featuring HDR and Atmos, slated for release November 1. The title can be pre-ordered for $25.96 at Walmart or $29.99 at Amazon, Best Buy, and Target.

With the release of Star Trek Beyond, Dolby reports that more than 50 movies are now available in 4k/Ultra HD with Dolby Atmos sound.

The movie was crap, just like the last two. Character interactions were great, the acting was great...the writing...not so much. The movie dragged in several places, again, had numerous plot holes, and the final battle was a relief...because when it happens you knew you were about to walk out. Seriously, avoid this movie!
