SI’s Acoustically Transparent Maestro 2 Screen Optimized for Laser Projection

Screen Innovations is now shipping an improved, second-generation version of its acoustically transparent Maestro screen that is optimized for high-resolution laser projection up to 4K and beyond.

The Austin-based company says the Maestro 2 screen offers three advantages over its predecessor:

• An ultra-smooth, surface to ensure “every pixel is displayed with exceptional clarity and precision;” the screen is woven rather than being perforated.

• Complete acoustic transparency to ensure sound, including quiet dialogue, is projected through the screen without interfering with audio clarity and overall fidelity and at levels that vary no more than ±2 dB, according to SI.

• 100% color neutrality to ensure color is accurately displayed on the screen, whether gaming or watching movies in a dark room.

“The improvements in SI’s Maestro 2 are significant,” said SI founder Ryan Gustafson. “Maestro 2 is visual and audible perfection for the dedicated theater room.”

The Maestro 2 is available in 16:9 and 2:35:1 aspect ratios framed by SI’s 0.5-inch Zero Edge bezel or a standard 2-inch bezel. Diagonal screen sizes are available in a variety of sizes up to 220 inches in 16:9 and up to 250 inches in 2.35:1. Prices start at $2,800.

Specs include a 1.1 gain, 75% half gain, ALR (ambient light rejection) rating of 10%, and minimum throw of 0.8x image width. For more information, visit screeninnovations.com.
