The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame today announced the nominees for induction in 2017.

Nineteen nominees are on the slate for 2017, including five 2016 nominees that didn’t make the cut last year—Chaka Khan, Chic, Janet Jackson, The Cars, and Yes. Here’s the complete list:

• Bad Brains

• Depeche Mode
• Electric Light Orchestra
• J. Geils Band
• Jane’s Addiction
• Janet Jackson **
• Joan Baez
• Joe Tex
• Journey

** Also nominated in 2016

To be eligible for nomination, an individual artist or band must have released its first single or album at least 25 years prior to the year of nomination—in this case, 1991.

Nominees on the ballot for the first time include Bad Brains, Depeche Mode, Electric Light Orchestra, Jane’s Addiction, Joan Baez, Journey, Pearl Jam, Steppenwolf, and Tupac Shakur. Pearl Jam and Tupac Shakur became eligible for nomination this year.

Ballots will be sent to an international voting body of more than 800 artists, historians, and members of the music industry. Factors such as musical influence on other artists, length and depth of career and body of work, innovation and superiority in style and technique are taken into consideration.

The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and Klipsch Audio are once again offering fans the opportunity to participate in the selection process. Starting today and continuing through 11:59 p.m. EST on December 5, you can visit klipsch.com/rock-hall to vote for the artists you believe to be most deserving of induction. To vote, you have to log in with a Facebook account or email, and voting is capped at one ballot per day.

The top five artists selected by the public will comprise a “fans’ ballot” that will be tallied along with the other ballots to choose the 2017 inductees, who will be announced in December.

The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame 2017 Induction ceremony, presented by Klipsch Audio, will be held at the Barclay’s Center in New York in April 2017 and broadcast by HBO.

Journey, The Cars, J Geils, Yes. The rest either are in the wrong category or are unworthy.
