Revel Announces Compact Sub/Sat System

Revel is adding new high-performance models to its Concerta family of compact speaker systems.

Due out in the spring, the Concerta M8 satellite speaker will be offered in mix-and-match SP2 and SP5 packages, for two- and five-channel systems, respectively. The SP5 package includes four M8 satellites and a horizontal center-channel speaker. The satellites are designed to work with Revel’s new B8 wireless subwoofer and include "C" brackets and accessories to accommodate tabletop placement or wall mounting.

The M8 satellites feature dual Micro-Ceramic Composite (MCC) 3-inch woofers in a bass reflex enclosure with dual front-firing ports that also houses a 1-inch MCC tweeter mated to a waveguide. The speakers are offered in high-gloss black, white, or red.

Available in high-gloss black or white, the B8 subwoofer is a compact design featuring an 8-inch down-firing woofer and 200-watt amplifier in a sealed enclosure. Highlights include a built-in wireless transmitter, LFE and stereo RCA audio inputs and controls for level, phase, and bass boost.

Revel has not yet announced pricing.

Is it just me, or do these look a lot like the JBL SIMPLY CINEMA SCS120. Especially the satellites even the wall mounts for them.

Looks like Harman wasn't content with destroying Infinity. Now Revel is next to be cheapened into oblivion.
