Order Your 24k Gold iPhone 7 Now for Only $…

Leave it an entrepreneur to find an innovative (and ostentatious) way to capitalize on the launch of a popular tech product—in this case, the forthcoming iPhone 7.

When Apple launched the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus back in September 2014 it sold more than 13 million phones within three days. Next up is the iPhone 7, which launches August 25, according to Goldgenie, a company that specializes in adding serious bling to a range of tech and household items, including jewelry, antiques, religious artifacts, and bathroom accessories. That’s right—bathroom accessories.

Anticipating sales to hit an all-time high, the London-based firm has already started taking pre-orders for four custom-encased versions of the iPhone 7: the 24k Gold Elite (shown, left), the 24k gold diamond-encrusted Diamond RockStar, the diamond-encrusted Rose Gold Elite (shown, right), and the Platinum.

Pricing starts at $3,100 and includes Plus and Pro versions of the phone with 64- or 128-GB of memory.

Is it any wonder that Goldgenie sells its product at the iMall in the United Arab Emirates where oil money flows freely?

"Having customised the first iPhone when Apple launched their device in 2007, I predict this will be the best selling iPhone to date,” said Goldgenie founder Laban Roomes.

goldgenie.com - I was not allowed to visit (I won't buy) this site - out of plain old curiosity.

Yikes - to Apple for allowing such "business"
