Meridian has announced that its “new edition” DSP5200.2 and DSP7200.2 Digital Active DSP Loudspeakers are now ready to order.

The speakers, priced at $12,000/pair and $30,000/pair, respectively, “take Meridian’s proprietary Digital Signal Processing (DSP) technology to a new high, with a series of new and improved technological innovations,” according to the press release.

Highlights of the speakers include a high-efficiency composite dome tweeter, 3x75 watts of built-in DSP-controlled power capable of producing an output level of 116dB at 1m, and Meridians’ proprietary Enhanced Bass Alignment (EBA) technology. The speakers also offer a range of controls for bass, treble tilt, listening axis, volume, time-compensated balance, and absolute phase.

Horizontal center-channel versions of the speakers, featuring Meridian’s center elevation adjustment technology, are also available: DSP5200HC.2 ($6,000) and DSP7200HC.2 ($15,000).

Black or white piano lacquer finish is standard but 270 custom colors are available for a 5 percent upcharge. For more information, visit meridian-audio.com.
