Marantz Rolls Out New $900 AVR

As a follow-up to the recently introduced NR1607 slim-design AV receiver, Marantz is adding a new full-size 7.2-channel AVR to its 2016 lineup.

Rated to deliver 7 x 100 watts (8 ohms at 8% THD), the SR5011 is priced at $899 and supports Dolby Atmos surround-sound decoding for 5.1.2 setups, Hi-Res Audio playback of files up to 192 kHz/24-bits, and high-dynamic range (HDR)/Ultra HD 60 Hz video playback with HDMI 2.0a and HDCP 2.2 on all eight of its HDMI inputs.

8% THD? I hope that's a typo, that's some pretty serious number fudging if that's what Marantz is speccing amps at now.
