LG Announces Pricing for 2015 OLED & Ultra HD TVs

LG has announced pricing for a number of the 4K/Ultra HD (UHD) TVs it showed in January at CES. All models are promised for “spring” delivery. Whether that means later this month or late May/early June, we don’t know.

Leading the new lineup is the super-slim 65-inch 65EG9600 Ultra HD OLED TV shown above—a curved-screen model that drew accolades from showgoers for its vivid picture—which will sell for $8,999. The model will join the 55-inch 55EC9300 1080p OLED TV currently selling for $3,499.

The 65- and 55-inch models in the flagship Prime UHD lineup, featuring “wider color gamut” technology, will sell for $4,499 and $3,699, respectively. Other highlights of these UF9500 series models include a slim-bezel screen that’s 8.5mm deep, a stylish “auditorium” stand, and a Harman/Kardon sound system.

Pricing for the UF8500 series 3D models is $3,199 for the 65-inch model and $2,999 for the 60-inch model. UF7700 series models in 70-, 65-, and 60-inch screen sizes will sell for $3,999, $2,999, and $2,499, respectively.

UF7600 series models in 55-, 49, and 43-inch screen sizes will sell for $1,999, $1,699, and $1,399.

All of the new models include LG’s updated webOS 2.0 Smart TV platform.
